Ayosifam Integrated Service Limited Commissions Advanced Parabolic Solar Dryer Hub in Ilorin, Transitioning to Zero-Emission Agro-Processing

ILORIN, NIGERIAJuly 3, 2026 — Ayosifam Integrated Service Limited officially commissioned its brand-new, 100% parabolic solar dryer hub yesterday, Thursday, July 2, 2026, at its factory site in Kangile, Ilorin, Kwara State. This milestone marks a significant step forward in the company’s mission to eliminate post-harvest agricultural losses, increase rural incomes, and build a climate-smart value chain across West Africa.

The newly commissioned facility transitions Ayosifam’s mid-stream processing from traditional fossil fuels to clean, sustainable thermal energy. Built in collaboration with the Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute (NSPRI), the industrial-grade, food-safe parabolic solar dryer accelerates drying times from days to hours while sealing out dust, rain, and soil-borne pathogens. This ensures that perishable staples like cassava and sweet potatoes are processed into premium, export-ready whole foods that easily achieve regulatory compliance.

“For too long, smallholder farmers have been trapped in cycles of poverty because up to 40% of their tuber harvests spoil before reaching the market,” said Funmilayo Esther Famuyiwa, Co-Founder and CEO of Ayosifam Integrated Service Limited. “By bringing this zero-emission industrial processing hub directly into the community, we are proving that African agribusiness can be both highly efficient and environmentally sustainable.”

Operating under a strict “Processor-Only” model, Ayosifam does not cultivate land to avoid competing with local growers. Instead, the hub serves as a dedicated destination for smallholders, with a particular focus on empowering underserved female farmers. By combining this physical infrastructure with AyosifamHub—the company’s proprietary direct-to-consumer digital marketplace—rural growers are connected directly to industrial buyers, bypassing exploitative middlemen and stabilizing household incomes.

The commissioning event gathered bank managers, government directors, and key agricultural extension representatives from the Kwara State Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The ceremony also marked the launch of Ayosifam’s next phase of community impact: rolling out specialized technical capacity workshops to onboard the next cohort of rural farmers into their decentralized supply network.
